STEP BY STEP - the procedure

Recruitment for full-time and part-time second cycle studies consists of several stages:

stage 1. registration in the Online Candidate Recruitment system (IRK)

stage 2. qualification tests

stage 3. Polish language examination (for persons without confirmed knowledge)

stage 4. after the announcement of the list of persons qualified for admission, submission of a complete set of documents

stage 5. confirmation of the qualification results (issuing of documents confirming admission to studies)

 

1) The fields of study offered by the following faculties: Civil and Environmental Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science and Information Technology, Mechanical Engineering and Mechatronics, Environmental Management and Agriculture, Maritime Technology and Transport as well as Chemical Technology and Engineering shall only accept candidates who have graduated from engineering studies.

2) The field of Architecture shall only admit graduates of the following engineering courses: Architecture as well as Architecture and Urban Planning. The field of Civil Engineering shall be open only to graduates of the engineering courses in this field. The field of Interior and landscape Architecture shall be open to graduates of the following courses: Architecture, Architecture and Urban Planning, Landscape Architecture, Civil Engineering, Interior and Landscape Architecture, Design Studies, respectively of engineering or at least 7-semester bachelor's degree studies. Graduates of bachelor's degree studies are obliged to supplement the engineering learning outcomes relevant for the first cycle studies in the form of programme differences during their course of study.

3) In the case of candidates holding a foreign univeristy graduation diploma (first cycle or uniform master's degree studies), the University shall acknowledge the acquisition of engineering competences or the equivalence of the degree obtained with its Polish equivalent by way of nostrification, based on the Regulation of the Minister of Science and Higher Education of 28 September 2018 on the nostrification of university graduation diplomas from studies abroad and confirmation of the completion of studies at a specific level (Journal of Laws, item 1881).

4) For candidates– graduates of the same field of study, the basis for qualification for second-cycle studies shall be the grade entered in the diploma of the studies completed (first-cycle or uniform master's degree studies). If this criterion proves insufficient, the average of grades from the studies determined by the university issuing the diploma shall be taken into consideration.

5) For candidates – graduates of other fields of study, who achieved comparable educational results in terms of knowledge, skills and social competences to those required from graduates of the same field of study (for which they apply) - the basis for qualification for second-cycle studies shall be the same criteria as for candidates of the same field of study (described in item 3). The list of fields of study or areas, academic disciplines, whose graduates achieved comparable educational results to the field of study for which they apply is published on the website of the university two months before the beginning of recruitment.

6) For candidates – graduates of other fields of study who do not meet the requirements described in points 4 and 5, the basis for qualification shall be: a positive result of a test or an interview and the grade entered in the university graduation diploma of graduation (first cycle or uniform master's degree studies). If this criterion proves insufficient, the average of grades from the studies determined by the university issuing the diploma shall be taken into consideration.

7) The scope of the test or interview referred to in point 6 and the manner of conducting it shall be published on the websites of the university no later than two months before it is held.
