Written information on certificate / diploma (Individual Recognition Statement) issued by Director General of the Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA)

From 1 July 2025 recognition of secondary school certificate / higher educational diplomas issued outside EU, OECD, EFTA and that coud not be recognized based on international agreement (see above) are subject to recognition by Polish National Agency for Academic Exchange (NAWA). All persons that have document issued in the country that is not indicated above is required to apply for a recognition through SYRENA system manager by NAWA.

Individual Recognition Statement should be issued within 60 days from complete application is registered in the SYRENA system. In the event of an incomplete application, the applicant will be asked to complete the documents – it may prolong the process. Official information on the document will be available for download by the applicant from the SYRENA system (document will be signed with qualified signature).

Individual Recognition Statement is issued free of charge.

The University is not part of the recognition process and is not able to assist applicants. Any questions related to SYRENA system and relevant should be directed to NAWA. Applicants should familiarise themself with the „User manual” available on NAWA website.
