Types of documents confirming the knowledge of an English language accepted by West Pomeranian University of Technology in Szczecin
Applicants must meet one of the below indicated requirements. No other language confirmation/certificates will be accepted.
1. Worldwide recognized certificate: ·
- International Baccalaureate (IB) certificate,
- IELTS (certificate issued not earlier than 2 years back) - min. aggregate score of 5.5
- TOEFL (certificate issued not earlier than 2 years back):
- paper-based test PBT- min. score of 510
- computer-based exam CBT - min. score of 170
- internet-based test IBT - min score 80
- Cambridge English:
- First Certificate in English (FCE),
- Certificate in Advanced English (CAE)
- Certificate of Proficiency in English (CPE)
- Pearson Test of English:
- Academic - minimum score of 59
- General - min score 45
- TELC (The European Language Certificate) - min. grade "satisfactory
- City & Guilds ESOL International (reading, writing and listening) - min intermediate "first class pass" score.
- British Council English Score (grammar, vocabulary, reading, listening)
- EF SET (listening, reading, writing, speaking).
2. Previous education (secondary or higher) fully taught in the English language - the transcript of grades or the diploma/degree certificate itself needs to contain a clause stating that English was the medium of instruction / or seperate document confirming this fact issued by educational institution that the candidate graduated from.
Internal examinations held by the University
Persons who do not meet any of the above requirements may take the online exam organized by the university (applies only to those who registered for enrollment):
21 January 2025, 18 March 2025, 9 September 2025, 16 September 2025
Each person who signs up for the exam (through a message in the IRK system indicating the chosen date) will receive information about the exact time and method of conducting the exam. The exam is free of charge.
In the event of a failing grade in an examination, the candidate is not entitled to a resit examination.
Upon individual request, the University may issue written confirmation of the examination and the grade obtaine.
